Get That Glow // Highlighters with a twist

Gone are the days that highlighting was left to the professional makeup artists on magazine shoots. Now highlighting is a day to day occurrence for most of us I love that the trend has evolved enough to provide those of us who don't want a gold champagne shimmer. Some of us are aiming for extraterrestrial realness (maybe that's just me) so the colours now available are perfect and when they come in a palette as beautiful as the  Blacklight Highlight - 6 Color Palette from BH Cosmetics (and for only $16.99 !!!) you really can't go wrong. Whilst I try and sort the area in my room for shooting beauty pictures I thought I would share just a few of the items on my highlight wishlist. Are there any highlighters on your wishlist at the moment? Tessa

S+ by ResMed - The smarter sleep solution

If you had of asked me two weeks ago how I slept, I would have said awfully. So when given the opportunity to try one of the newest sleep trackers on the market, I jumped at the chance. The S+ by ResMed was 2-million sleeps in the making and is the world's first, non-contact, sleep tracking system that helps you improve your sleep from the very first night. Simple to use, the S+ by ResMed monitors your breathing, movement and room conditions then syncs with your iOS or Android smartphone to provide you with tailored feedback and suggestions on how to get better sleep. I have now been using the S+ for a week and wanted to share my thoughts in case anyone is considering a purchase. I shall start with the price - at £129.95 (currently - I have seen it on offer for less) the S+ is not cheap. However for many, a good nights sleep is more than worth this (and as you will see from my bed-side table, I will throw my money at gadgets to help me sleep). Once you have the produ

SOCIAL MEDIA SHARING // INSTAGRAM FAVOURITES #2

I am an avid social media follower and I check my Instagram, facebook and twitter religiously for news and updates so thought I should share some more of my Instagram favourites. @nicolabrightondesign I don't recall how I found Nicola's account but I am so glad I did because I love her designs. ESPECIALLY this camo flower embroidered jacket sent from the heavens. I am sooooo tempted to purchase one from her Etsy store  but I am not sure the largest one would fit at the moment. @makemeupmissa I recently joined the facebook group Mrs Gloss and the Goss  and one of the first live streams I sat down to watch were by Missa. She is absolutely stunning and her makeup skills are second to none so I set out to find her on Instagram and youtube . Before she posted this picture I wasn't sure that I needed the Jeffree Star  Androgyny Palette but I think I do now If you would like to follow me my links are below and please do leave me links to your sites and other

Etsy Favourites // Pin's

I LOVE pins - they are the ultimate accessory as you can add them to anything and change them up depending on your mood. As a huge Clarissa fan as a pre-teen, I have fully embraced the 90's revival and have invested in a vintage denim jacket that I plan to cover in pins and patches (blog here ). This is my current collection though I have a few more on the way to add. Since purchasing the jacket one of my favourite past times is to browse Etsy for pins and patches to add to my jacket and I thought I should share some of the recent additions to my wishlist. IRIS // ARTHUR // STRANGER THINGS // ET // ANCIENT ASTRONAUT // YETI // DRINK TEA // BETELGEUSE // DEMIGUISE // SUPERNATURAL // REAL MONSTERS // JUST PEACHY // ENCHANTED ROSE // DOBBY Do you like my picks - a lot of them are inspired by my favourite TV as a child (and adult !!) Do you collect pins? Do you have a favourite seller I should check out? Tessa

Inspired by // Tokyo Fashion Harajuku Girl in All Black

I love following fashion - high fashion, street style, drag, you name it, it interests me. I have a few places I look for inspiration (books, magazine, websites) and one of my favourites is tokyofashion.com    an online magazine devoted to clothing, accessories, and style in Tokyo, Japan. I have a few looks that I have been inspired by in the last few weeks one of which is this one.... Harajuku Girl in All Black Fashion w/ Faith Tokyo, Vivienne Westwood & Vintage Items All black was always going to appeal to my aesthetic but so did the mix of modern and vintage pieces and the masculine cut of the trousers with the famine lacy camisole. I was so inspired I have been trawling the interwebs to pick a few pieces that you could put together to achieve a somewhat similar look Do you like this look and my choices? Where do you look for your outfit inspiration? Tessa
